About this register

Fantasy Puck Zone keeps a written register of hotels in four categories: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. Each entry is a short piece of prose about a real, operating property, written to explain what the building is and what staying in it is like in practice.

How entries are chosen

A hotel is entered because it represents its category clearly — a capsule hotel that shows what a berth hotel actually is, an ice hotel that is genuinely rebuilt each winter, a casino hotel that works as a full resort. The register is geographically open; no country is treated as its home ground.

What is left out on purpose

• Prices, star ratings and scores of any kind.
• Guest reviews, real or invented.
• Booking, reservation or availability functions.
• Any claim that would need a source to be believed.

Accuracy

Hotels renovate, rebrand and occasionally close. Where an entry has fallen out of date the text is corrected. If you know something here is wrong, the contact page explains how to say so.
